JAD specializes in the creation of many New England style homes including; Shingle Style, Craftsman, Capes, Colonials, Farmhouses, New Englanders, Saltboxes, and Coastal Styles. While each project is unique, they all share an artistic quality that separates a JAD plan from other stock plans. Our designs reflect a consistent timelessness, a certain stylistic restraint that can be described as aesthetically pleasing, clean, comforting, and inviting.
We strive to achieve the ultimate balance; ultimately creating an attractive and efficient structure that provides for all the unique needs of its owner while responding to its specific site and its surroundings. Frequently, our homes exteriors have many classical details and proportions, while the interiors reflect a more contemporary open concept layout.
Jason Aselin
Jason Aselin is the principal designer of JAD Design Group, where he has been designing beautiful homes for nice people for over 25 years. His award-winning work is rooted in a deep respect for architecture, craftsmanship, and the unique character of New England homes and landscapes.
Jason earned his degree in Architectural Engineering in 1991 and studied at both Vermont Technical College and The Boston Architectural College. A lifelong student of architecture, design, and construction, he brings decades of practical experience and continual learning to every project.
His design philosophy centers on simple, intelligent, and attractive solutions, developed within a framework of efficiency, authenticity, and sensitivity to site and local vernacular. Jason has a strong appreciation for traditional New England architecture, time-honored methods and materials, and high-performance building practices, while thoughtfully incorporating quality innovations and evolving technologies.
Each project reflects an organic, collaborative approach, emphasizing landscape integration, timeless proportions, and restrained, minimalist aesthetics. Jason values integrity, personalization, and creative problem-solving—balancing respect for tradition with carefully considered contemporary solutions.

Cora Thibeault
Cora joined JAD Design Group in July of 2021 as office support, focusing primarily on digital marketing and social media coordinating while also liaising between clients and JAD Design Group executives. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, client support has been a passion of Cora’s throughout her professional career thus far. Cora uses her strong work ethic and attention to detail to be a team player as part of the JAD Design Group culture.
